Biomass energy allows conservation of our nature and this is utmost important to us! We have totally renewed our heating system. We are firing untreated wood chips (similar to pellets) in a state-of-the-art central heating stove to control complete combustion at lowest emissions.
Walter, the landlord, is a passionate pioneer of biomass energy and will not make any compromise when it comes to protection of our nature.
Our holiday resort was one of the first companies in the region which has carefully implemented a "zero-footprint" in regard to greenhouse gas. We heat carbon-neutral. We buy the wood chips only from local farmers to minimize transport distance. As a result, our company has received the Carinthian state award for corporate responsibility.
